U9 Whites Team Values.
Player Rotation – During matches we try and give each player in squad an equal amount of playing time to aid development. We can only take 10 players to each match so if this is ever an issue we will rotate squad.
Development & Fun – During matches and training we want to girls to develop their skills whilst having fun and enjoying football.
We focus on development not winning and promoting resilience.
Team Work – Teaching the girls the importance of team work and how all roles in the team are equally important. An emphasis on building a strong team bond and friendships.
Rotating Positions – The FA guide is for players to be playing in all positions at this age. Some players may already have preferences but it is important for their development to rotate.
Game Management – We will give directions from the sideline but more and more we want the girls to think for themselves and make their own in match decisions.
Coaching Team – Monica, Paul and I all have slightly different roles but we make decisions as a team. We aim communicate with parents clearly and be as transparent as possible. We hope this works both ways and if there are ever concerns or problems then please approach any of the coaching team.
Respect For Coaches – Friday sessions are a chance to learn new skills and we encourage kids to ask us questions but we also ask that they listen to Coaches and give drills a try. The more successful sessions are when everyone concentrates as well as they can (for a Friday evening) and give things a go.
